Much-Travelled Striker Joins Blues

Blue Square Bet North club Bishop`s Stortford have announced the signing of much-travelled forward Bertie Brayley.

Brayley, now 30, a product of the West Ham youth scheme, can also play on the left wing.

He played along Hammers’ stars Joe Cole and Michael Carrick whilst on the books at Upton Park and starred for them in their 1999 FA Youth Cup win over Coventry City, scoring three goals over the two-legged final.

Since leaving the Hammers Brayley has enjyed a well-travelled career, taking in stops of vaying length at Queens Park Rangers, Swindon, Canvey Island, Hornchurch, Farnborough Town, Billericay Town, Braintree Town, Aldershot Town, Chelmsford City, Bishop’s Stortford, Concord Rangers, Margate, Eastleigh and Thurrock, joining Harlow in March 2012 after a second spell with Billericay.
