Neil Young, manager of Evo-Stik League First Division North title-favourites Chester FC, signed a new goalkeeper on the…
…eve of the transfer deadline
Young signed 25-year-old Josh Lennie – a former Brentford and AFC Wimbledon player – who is believed to have signed a short-term deal.
Lennie first came to the attention of AFC Wimbledon when he played against them for Brentford in the 2005 Supporters Direct Cup final.
A big, strong goalkeeper with experience gained with loan spells at Carshalton Athletic and Chertsey Town, he was signed by the Dons to replace the injured Paul Smith, and went on to become an able deputy for Andy Little and his patience on the bench was rewarded with several cup outings.
