After interviewing all day on Monday, the Board of Directors at Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West club Mangotsfield United, have announced that David Mehew and Steve Elliott have been appointed as their new management team.
Mehew joined Mangotsfield as assistant-manager in June 2014 following seven very successful years as manager of Gloucester City, after previously being assistant to Tim Harris.
A former striker with Leeds United, Walsall and Bristol Rovers, he was a coach at Bristol Manor Farm and has played locally with Bath City, Forest Green Rovers, Weston-super-Mare, Paulton Rovers and Clevedon Town as well as Rushden & Diamonds.
However, he left Cossham Street last month, citing `personal reasons`.
Elliott is an ex-England under-21 international defender who played 218 times for Bristol Rovers after spells with Derby County and Blackpool and then a further 174 with Cheltenham Town before joining Bath City towards the end of last season.
He returned to Cheltenham briefly as assistant/caretaker-manager.
The pair`s first game in charge will be Saturday`s FA Trophy match at Marlow.
The club have expressed their thanks to Neil Arndale and Lewis Hogg for being in temporary charge over the last two games.
