Ossett Town captain Alex Peterson has offically put pen to paper and extended his stay with the club.
The influence he had on the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One North team that got to the play-off final was clear as he missed just one league during the 2016/17 season.
At the end of the season the forward had given a verbal agreement that he would be staying with the side.
Speaking about the deal being sorted Town manager Grant Black was pleased to get the deal done.
“I’m buzzing to have Alex signed up for another season, he has been targeted by other clubs but him deciding to stay with us is a massive achievement for the club”.
“To have a player of his calibre wanting to stay is massive, his attitude and desire to perform individually and as a team is fantastic to see and his a captain who leads by example”.
“As a manager I am over the moon to be working with such a great professional and again I feel he is a player who will get back to where he has been at Championship level.”
