Witham Town, promoted from the Ryman League Division One North, have announced the signing of experienced forward Jamie Guy.
Guy was most recently at Heybridge Swifts having parted ways with another of Witham`s former Division One North rivals, Needham Market early on into his two-year contract.
Guy was a pro at Colchester United in League One before signing for Braintree Town where he played a major part in the Iron gaining promotion into the Conference.
Unfortunately, he had a nasty injury and sustained a double leg break, but since returning from injury he has scored goals at every club he has played for such as Maldon & Tiptree, Needham and Heybridge Swifts.
Witham assistant-manager King said: “Garry Kimble and I are really pleased to have signed Jamie as we believe can score goals at any level and has proved this.
“The only question mark was his fitness but we saw Jamie when we played Heybridge last season and is back to the fitness levels when he was pro in League football.
“He has worked hard in his own time as he wants to get back to his best. His ability is second to none and his experience will be vital in the Prem.”
