David Batch, manager of Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division play-off losers St Neots Town, has begun shaping his squad for next season.
Winger Lorenzo Ferrari, former Luton Town midfielder Matt Spring, veteran keeper Paul Bastock and defender Josh Bickerstaff will all be plying their trade elsewhere next season.
Batch said: “Each player has demonstrated an excellent attitude and have been a credit to the club.
“I personally want to thank them for their contribution last season in what turned out to be a very near miss at being promoted.
“I genuinely wish them all well for the future and am sure our supporters will feel the same.”
Meanwhile, talks continue with other non-contracted players regards their future, with more news expected to be released next week.
“It isn’t just current players that we have focused on, I have held several meetings with new faces over the last week,” added Batch. “It’s a busy time and my focus at the moment is finalising discussions with those not under contract from our current squad, as well as speaking to the ones that came to our attention last season.
“We have watched all those targets play and ruled out several as a result, so are now focusing on the ones that impressed and have reached the stage of discovering which ones will walk over broken glass to represent us’.
“So far we have constructed a deal with a player from a club in the league above to join us, as well as agreeing a transfer fee with another club for an exciting talent who was prolific at Step 4 last year.
“When appropriate we will release further information, but the process is ongoing and I am very happy with the outcome so far.”
