Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One West club Fairford Town have signed striker Alex Rudd, who returns for a second spell at Cinder Lane.

The former Highworth Town frontman is expected to be available for Saturday’s home encounter with Lambourn Sports.

Manager Paul Braithwaite said: “Alex has been playing at Down Ampney for the last two seasons and scored a lot of goals. He had been playing there due to work commitments but he is now ready to return to Hellenic football and test himself. He likes the way Fairford are going as a club and he’s heard good things that he wants to be a part of.”
