Vanarama Conference North club Brackley Town have signed former Southampton youngster Joe Curtis.
Curtis is a midfielder or striker who began his career at Leicester City, representing the club at under-16 level before switching to Southampton.
He made a name for himself playing up front for Saints’ under-18 side in 2011/12 and enjoyed a decent return in front of goal.
In 2012/13 he was promoted to the Saints under-21 set-up where he was used in midfield more often to accommodate other players, but was released at the end of last season.
Curtis joins the Notrhamptonshire outfit having made three friendly appearances on trial with Cheltenham Town before being let go by the Sky Bet League Two side ahead of last Saturday’s match at Kidderminster Harriers.
