Dayle Grubb from Weston-super-Mare win the player award for April in the Vanarama National League South.

When the going gets tough and relegation is seriously a possibility the threatened club needs a player to step up to the plate. The Seagulls needed one for sure and up stepped 25-year-old Dayle Grubb.

A product of the club`s academy, he has therefore had the club at heart for many a year and he was determined to make sure the club kept its membership of the National South.

April was certainly a time to shine for the Seasiders and he weighed in a personal cache of 7 goals, including a one match four-goal haul bonanza.

Aided along with some excellent general play from the club captain as well, he was able to steer them well away from the drop zone.

It is always good to see a ‘one club player’ pick up an award.
