Mark Shaw, manager of Baris Northern Counties East League Division One club Shirebrook Town, has boosted the….

….squad’s goalkeeping options this week with the signing of 20-year-old Adam Billard from NCEL Premier Division side Parkgate.

Billard came through the academy at Sheffield United before spells in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League with Worksop Town, Sheffield FC and Stocksbridge Park Steels.

He joined Frickley Athletic in the summer of 2011 where he made six appearances before signing for Parkgate for the first time.

Billard signed for Buxton in December 2011 and made six appearances, including a penalty-saving debut from the bench in the Bucks’ away win at Whitby Town.

He went straight into the starting eleven for Tuesday night’s League Cup second round tie away at Knaresborough Town and marked his debut for the club with two fine saves during the game that helped Shirebrook gain a 3-1 victory over their hosts.
