Ryman League Premier Division club Lowestoft Town have agreed a deal with Sky Bet League One side Southend United for Nico Cotton to remain at Crown Meadow for the rest of the season.

The Shrimpers winger has been a revelation since joining on loan and was the Blues’ match-winner against Enfield Town last weekend, scoring both goals in a 2-1 win.

The Trawlerboys held discussions with Southend about extending his loan spell, which was due to end after Saturday’s match against Burgess Hill Town.

The paperwork for this has been completed today.
