Vanarama Conference club Macclesfield Town have taken defender Liam Hogan on a month`s loan from Sky Bet League….

…..One side Fleetwood Town.

A versatile defender, Hogan joined the Cod Army from FC Halifax Town in the summer of 2013.

Hogan, who can operate as a right-back or centre-half, was known as one of the brightest prospects outside the Football League and was handed an opportunity to play in the Football League by manager Graham Alexander.

His career began at Woodley Sports (now Stockport Sports) in 2007 before signing for Halifax Town in July 2010.

Hogan went on to make over 100 appearances for the Shaymen and in his final season helped the club win promotion from the Conference North.

Named in the division’s team of the year, Hogan moved on to Lancashire and played a part in helping Fleetwood to reach League One at the first time of asking.
