Lee Goodwin and Grant Gordon, the caretaker-managers of Blue Square Bet South strugglers Thurrock, have made…

….several new signings ahead of tomorrow`s game at Eastleigh.

Thurrock slipped to the foot of the table following last Saturday’s defeat at home to Staines Town.

Robbie Garvey quit as manager in the wake of that defeat, which left the side six points from safety.

Midfielder Luke l`Anson joins after being released by league rivals Dover Athletic earlier this week.

L`Anson signed for Dover in August 2010 after a successful trial.

The midfielder scored Dover’s second goal in the 2-0 FA Cup victory at Gillingham in 2010.

After arriving in England from Spain, I’Anson played for Bromley in 2009/10, where he scored against Dover in a 2-2 draw.

He went on to play for Welling United and Kingstonian that season.

Also joining from Crabble is Nathan Ashton, who signed for Dover in March 2011 from Marlow.

A left-footed winger or full-back, Ashton started his career at Charlton Athletic where he played in the Premier League and represented England at under-20 level.

He moved on to Wycombe Wanderers before spells with AFC Wimbledon, Cray Wanderers and Marlow.

Defender Ahmed Deen arrives at Ship Lane after recently leaving Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division outfit Cambridge City.

A Sierra Leone international with ten caps, the 26-year-old has Football League experience having previously been with Peterborough, Macclesfield Town and Barnet.

More recently, he has been playing with the likes of Hayes & Yeading and Dulwich Hamlet.

Deen made seven appearances for the Lilywhites, scoring one goal.

Former Spurs midfielder Jamie Davis has also put pen-to-paper for Fleet.

Capped by England at under-17 level, Davis joined Tottenham`s Academy full-time in 2005/06 and went on to play nienteen games for the under-18s, while furthering his experience with seven reserve team appearances in their title-winning campaign.

Since leaving White Hart Lane, Davis had a trial spell with Leyton Orient and then turned out for Grays Athletic before heading west to join Team Bath and attend university and more recently has turned out for Toolstation Western League side Bitton.
