Tonbridge Sign Canadian International

Skrill South club Tonbridge Angels have signed Canadian international striker Evan James.

The 23-year-old, 5`11” James has most recently been with Canadian side K-W United.

James played 25 games for the Charlotte 49ers in 2011, and scored five goals.

In 2011, he was named to the All-Atlantic team and the NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region team.

James started out with the Oakville SC and was part of the Oakville Blue Stars for four years prior to joining the Charlotte program.

He won the under-21 Ontario Cup with Oakville.

While in college, James appeared for USL PDL club Hamilton Rage in 2011, making eight appearances and scoring two goals.[1]

He was selected first overall in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft and signed by the Montreal Impact on March 1st, 2012.

He was released by the Montreal Impact in November 2012 and subsequently joined K-W United.

James has four caps for Canada at under-23 level and made his senior international debut in January 2013 in a friendly against Denmark.
