Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division promotion-chasers Buxton have bolstered their squad with the re-signing of goalkeeper Arron Jameson and the arrival of defender Luis Morrison-Derbyshire.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jameson returns to Silverlands from neighbours and league rivals Matlock Town.

He began his career with Sheffield Wednesday who would loan the Sheffield native out to several teams, including Gainsborough Trinty, Ilkeston Town, Harrogate Town, York City, Stalybridge Celtic, Bradford City and on that list as well was a spell with Matlock back in the 2009/10 season.

After departing Sheffield Wednesday in 2014, Jameson joined Buxton for the first time before switching to the Gladiators at the start of this term.

Tall, 6`3” Morrison-Derbyshire`s last club was Vanarama National League North strugglers Altrincham.

He joined the Robins on 11th November 2016, his previous club being Ryman League Division One South outfit Greenwich Borough.

He was on schoolboy forms at Arsenal and Stevenage Borough before a spell with Jalkapalloseura FC YPA in Finland (2014) and he also played for Umea in Sweden before returning to England for trial spells at Leeds United, (where he turned out for the Development Squad), Derby County, Wrexham and Newcastle United.

He joined Farnborough in January 2014 and also played for Maidenhead United, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Grays Athletic and Concord Rangers in 2014 to 2015 before joining Canvey Island.

After ten appearances for the Essex coast team, he joined Greenwich in September 2016.

But after just one appearance for Alty, he was released last month.
