Two More In – Two Out at Solihull

At the end of the season Marcus Bignot, manager of Conference North club Solihull Moors, moved quickly to offer…..

…..all of his current squad terms for next season. However, two players have since informed the club that they are now speaking to other teams.

Winger Dior Angus and defender Danny Spencer are currently in talks with other clubs.

After being promoted from the youth team last summer and having an excellent first season at senior level, the club hoped Angus would continue his footballing education with the Moors next season as he looks to fulfill his ambition of playing in the Football League.

He is currently in talks with a Conference Premier side, and the club wish him well if he does decide to move on.

Spencer is also in talks with other clubs as the financial restraints of next seasons budget meant that at this time we could not offer terms that were acceptable to both parties.

In light of these impending departures the club are pleased to announce two more signings in Tamworth right winger Peter Till, and Gresley FC`s Michael Nottingham, who is quickly reunited with former Moatman team-mate Jordi Gough, who signed yesterday.

Twenty-seven-year-old winger Till came through the youth system at Birmingham City, but after failing to break in to the team he had spells on loan at Scunthorpe, Boston United, Leyton Orient and Grimsby Town, who he then joined permanently in 2007.

He spent three seasons at Blundell Park, making eighty appearances for the then League Two side, including playing at Wembley in the 2008 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final.

After his release by the Mariners he joined home-town club Walsall for an injury-hit season, and then joined York City where he made forty-five appearances in the 2010/11 season.

He then moved to Fleetwood Town, playing his part as they won the Conference title, before deciding to move on, joining Tamworth for last season where he made thirty-three appearances.

Commanding ball-playing central defender Nottingham joined Gresley in 2011, helping the club win the Midland Alliance title in his first season.

He previously had spells with Redditch United and Romulus.

In his two seasons with the Moatmen he has won the Director’s award twice, and at the end of last season was selected in the league’s `Team of The Year`.
