Mark Hume, manager of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division club Matlock Town, made two signings ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Colwyn Bay.

The vastly experienced midfielder Laurie Wilson has moved from NPL First Division South neighbours Belper Town where he has captained the side this season.

Wilson formerly played in the Conference for Burton Albion, Kidderminster Harriers, Alfreton Town and Harrogate Town and then served Ilkeston FC, Grantham Town and Buxton in the NPL

Chesterfield-based Wilson began his career with Sheffield Wednesday where his father Danny also managed.

Also coming to Matlock is 21-year-old attacking midfielder Jordan Deacey on a month’s loan from Vanarama National League North side Boston United.

Deacey’s father John previously managed Bradford Park Avenue with Hume as his assistant which is where Deacey junior began his career making 130 appearances and then a further forty for AFC Telford United before moving to York Street in the summer.
