Frome Town have announced they have reached agreement with manager Adrian Foster who has signed a two-year contract….
….with the Calor League Southern Premier Division club.
Having taken over the Robins at Christmas he steered the team away from relegation trouble and comfortably finished mid-table while also finishing as runners-up in the Somerset Premier Cup.
Chairman Jeremy Alderman said of the news: “We have been speaking to Adrian for the last couple of months about signing a long-term contract and we are really pleased that he sees his future with us and that he knows we are building something really good at Frome.
“There is no doubting he has been a breath of fresh air since coming in at the tail end of last year and the players have responded to him brilliantly – we can look forward to what we all hope to be a really exciting future.”
Foster was equally as pleased to have put pen-to-paper: “I’ve really enjoyed it since being at Frome and when the chairman approached me and said the club wanted to discuss a contract I was really flattered. The discussions went really well and there was no hesitation in getting things officially signed. It`s a signal from the Club that they can see what we are trying to achieve, and really that’s also down to the way the players have responded since Christmas as well. With just a couple of additions to the squad I can see us having a great season ahead.”
