AFC Kempston moved two points clear at the top of the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division on Tuesday night with a game in hand by winning 2-0 at Desborough Town with first half goals from Dom Marsala and Josh Crawley.

Individual performance of the night came from Boston Town striker Jordan Nuttell, who hit a hat-trick in the Poachers 4-0 win over Yaxley at the DWB Stadium.

Fraser Bayliss was the other home marksman.

There was an important win for Sileby Rangers in their battle for survival.

A goal in each half from Karlos Augustine gave ten-man Rangers a 2-1 verdict at home to Oadby Town, who took the lead midway through the first half with an Ollie Brown-Hill penalty which saw home keeper Nigel Maarman red carded.

Wellingborough Town picked up a valuable point in their battle to beat the drop, drawing 1-1 at home to Deeping Rangers.

Alfie Taylor gave the Doughboys the lead in the first minute of the second half only for Scott Coupland to score a late Rangers leveller.

In Division One Irchester United ended an eight-match losing run with a 1-0 win over Olney Town at Alfred Street, Sam Dengel the first half Romans marksman.

Peterborough Sports became only the fourth Division One club to reach the League Knockout Cup final by winning their semi-final at Cogenhoe United 2-0 with a Jordan MacLeod opener midway through the first half and Josh Moreman effort just after the break.

Sports will meet the winners of the second semi-final between Holbeach United and Wisbech Town in the May Bank Holiday final at Deeping.

In the first leg of the Buckingham Charity Cup semi-final, Buckingham Town lost 3-0 at home to Uhlsport Hellenic League side Brackley Saints.
