Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division club Biggleswade Town have announced the appointment of Craig Adams as their new first-team assistant-manager.

Adams, 41, was most recently the under-16 manager at Sky Bet League One outfit Peterborough United having departed Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South side Rugby Town earlier this season when manager Gary Mills departed Butlin Road.

‘Bully’, as he`s known, joined Rugby in May 2015 having managed Bedford Town for the previous eighteen months and stepped down from his role to join Mills.

Adams was a popular figure at the New Eyrie after a successful spell with ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League side Wellingborough Town as manager.

As a player, Adams was on the books at Northampton Town and also went on to play for Dunstable Town, Rugby and Leicester United.

Manager Chris Nunn said: “I am really pleased to welcome Bully on board. Both of us know what hard work lays ahead as we prepare for next season in the Southern Premier Division.”
