Forward Dan Thompson has decided to leave Burgess Hill Town to join Ryman League Premier Division rivals Tonbridge Angels.
The well-travelled 23-year-old, who started out at Hampton and then Portsmouth, has since had several spells with the Beavers as well as Hayes & Yeading United, Bognor Regis Town, Farnborough, Walton & Hersham and Chipstead before signing for the Hillians in August.
Burgess Hill manager Ian Chapman said: “It’s a pity because for one reason or another we only saw glimpses of what Dan can offer to the team. We wanted him to stay but he decided to leave.
Chapman added: “It’s about us and we know what we need to do at this football club. On the positive side, Pat Harding is nearly fully fit and trained well on Tuesday, and we have other options up front”.
