East Midlands Counties League club Gresley FC`s Brian Woodall has agreed a two-year deal to start next season with…
…npower League One side Dagenham & Redbridge.
The 23-year-old winger will be moving seven divisions up the football Pyramid but is relishing the challenge of launching a career in the professional game.
Woodall convinced Daggers boss John Still to take a punt on him after an impressive one-week trial and performance in a reserve game against Millwall.
After trials with numerous League teams during his teens, Woodall thought his opportunity had evaporated but is determined to grasp this one with both hands.
“I’m very excited, it’s what I’ve always wanted to do,” he said.
Woodall passed his medical on Friday and signed a pre-contract two-year deal with the Daggers, but will remain with Gresley until the end of the season.
