Salisbury have announced the appointment of Ian Hammond to the club’s Board of Directors.
Following the recent departure of Ian Ridley, the Southern League South and West club confirmed the new arrival.
Hammond hopes his “considerable business and management background” will help push the club forward.
Under the management of Steve Claridge, Salisbury are close to securing a place in the playoffs as they attempt to win two promotions of the bounce having reformed in the Wessex League in 2015.
Chairman David Phillips knows what his club are getting.
“I have known Ian for more than 10 years and have the greatest of respect for him and all that he has achieved in his business life.” Phillips said.
“I am looking forward to working with him and I am certain that his knowledge and experience will be of tremendous benefit to the club.”
Salisbury can edge closer to a playoff place on Saturday.
They play promotion rivals Tiverton Town, in second, knowing three points will essentially guaranteed them finishing in the top five.
