Walton & Hersham became the first club through to the Third Round of the Buildbase FA Vase when they beat Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division rivals Hanworth Villa 2-1 in the Second Round on Friday night at New Stompond Lane.
The sides are currently riding high in the league, so a tight affair was anticipated, which it was in front of a crowd of 142.
But it was the visitors who started the better and took an early 4th minute lead through Jack Mills.
However, Jamie Thoroughgood equalised on the half-hour mark.
The Swans won it with 12 minutes to go with a goal from Malachi Thomas with the Villa players waiting in vain for an offside flag.
