Ambitious Toolstation Western League Premier Division club Melksham Town have announced the arrival of two players from higher in the non-League Pyramid.

Mason Winter joins from Evo-Stik League South West side Larkhall Athletic and Rob Hobbs from Larkhall`s league rivals Mangotsfield United.

These two follow hot on the heels of the arrival of Francoise Allen from Western League Division One outfit Welton Rovers.

Winter is a right-back who has played twenty-three times for the Larks this season, and netted 2 goals.

He was previously with Cribbs FC and was on the books at Bristol Rovers as a youngster.

Hobbs, 28, was originally with Cheltenham Town and went on to turn out for Team Bath, Chippenham Town, Swindon Supermarine, Frome Town, Larkhall and Mangotsfield, where he had also been a regular this season.

Allen joined Welton in the summer having been a regular goalscorer for Warminster Town in recent seasons.

Manager Kieran Baggs commented, ‘I’m delighted to welcome all of the boys on board. These signings will give us more competition for starting places whilst adding experience from playing at a higher level.

“Rob and Mason have been targets for a long time and I am very excited about both of them joining Melksham.

“Francoise has joined from Welton where he has been a regular goalscorer. This is a great opportunity for him to try and prove himself at the next level up.

“I hope these signings will give signal of intent that the club will continue to improve wherever possible and thanks to the chairman and secretary for doing so much running around in getting these deals done”.
