Vanarama National League South club Bath City have signed Opi Edwards on a two-month loan deal from SkyBet Championship side Bristol City.

The 18-year-old can play right-back or midfield and is available for tonight’s match at home to Dartford.

Edwards was signed for Bristol City`s academy after a man of the match performance against Chelsea while on trial.

He had been picked out from Bristol Inner City Football Academy, operating in the centre of Bristol.

City have also re-signed goalkeeper Jason Mellor.

Mellor originally joined the club in 2012 from Clevedon Town and went on to make 129 appearances before returning to the Seasiders in September 2015.

He had first joined Clevedon in August 2010 from Somerset County League side, Nailsea Town after spells as a striker at youth level at both Bristol City and Rovers.
