Evo-Stik League Premier club Rushall Olympic have signed much-travelled forward Richard Brodie and Frenchman Mathis Fonovich.

Thirty-year-old Brodie joins the Pics having recently left Vanarama National League side Solihull Moors.

He had been signed by new Rushall boss Liam McDonald for Moors on a permanent deal last month, but departs The Automated Technology Group Stadium after making six appearances.

Two-time National League title winner Brodie is a prolific scorer who has amassed over 500 senior appearances across a 12-year career with 16 clubs.

Brodie joined Evo-Stik League North side Skelmersdale United from National League North side Southport in August after ending his second spell at the Sandgrounders.

He began his senior career with a two-year stay in the Ebac Northern League at Whickham where he scored 21 times in thirty-five appearances before a short stint of 3 goals in eleven games for Newcastle Benfield.

A move to York City saw him hit 69 goals in 165 games over a three-year stay which included a seven-game loan at Barrow in 2008 where he scored four times.

He moved on to Crawley Town with 13 goals in forty-five games, including winning the 2010/11 Conference (National League) title before winning the following season on loan at Fleetwood Town.

Further loans came at Morecambe and Grimsby Town before moving to Gateshead.

Whilst with the Heed he scored twice in eight appearances across 2013/14 while also hitting the net once in eight games for Hereford United.

He went on loan at Southport and earned a permanent deal where he went on to score 15 goals in sixty games ahead of a single season at Aldershot Town with 5 goals in twenty-six apps in 2015/16.

He had a short stint at Stockport County, a return to York with a loan at Macclesfield Town.

A three-game stay at Boston United led to his second spell at Southport with seven appearances.

The Pics have also completed the signing of the talented Mathis Fonovich.

The 20-year-old Frenchman is an attacking player who is comfortable on either wing and has spent the past five years with Olympique de Marseille in his homeland.

Both Brodie and Fonovich made their debuts for Rushall in their 2-0 Buildbase FA Trophy win over league rivals Nantwich Town.
