Busy Frickley Athletic have signed Danny Rowe from Vanarama National League North side York City for the forthcoming season in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier East.
Twenty-two-year-old Rowe, who can play at right-back, centre-back or in midfield, started his career with Rotherham United before a loan spell at Stalybridge Celtic, which was followed with him signing a three-year deal with Wycombe Wanderers where he played over seventy games in the Football League.
A brief spell on loan at National League side Barrow AFC was followed by a permanent move to York last year.
Frickley manager Spencer Fearn told the club`s Pitchero website: “Danny is a no-nonsense, physical player, who can play a variety of different positions.
“He has a good number of games in the Football League, National League and and National North, so has great experience at a relatively young age.
“We are delighted that he joins us here at Frickley Athletic for the 2018/19 season”.
