Glen Clarence has stepped down as manager of Midland League Premier Division club Heanor Town due to personal reasons.

Long-serving Clarence took over the Lions` helm in June 2013.

Clarence had been manager of Central Midlands League side Pinxton FC for the previous two seasons, where he narrowly missed out on the championship by just two points.

Assistant-managers Paul Postlethwaite and Steve Hamilton will take charge of the first team on Saturday and an announcement will be made regards to the future in due course.
