Former Forest Green Rovers defender Macauley Dodson has teamed up with Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division club Shrivenham on loan from Evo-Stik League South West side Swindon Supermarine.
Dodson originally joined the South Marston-based side in November 2016 from Chippenham Town and last season appeared for Highworth Town in dual registration deal where he made twenty appearances for the Hellenic Premier League outfit, helping them to a sixth-place finish.
“He has been out injured for a while, so he’s come in to get some games under his belt and I think he did really well for us yesterday,” Shrivenham manager Gareth Davies told his club`s official website following his side’s 7-0 victory at Tytherington Rocks on Saturday.
“He’s a quality player and he needs game time under his belt before he’s ready to step back up to the level that `Marine compete at so it’s a deal that benefits us, Macauley and Supermarine, we’re delighted he became available. We’ve got seven important league games remaining, so to get a player of his ability at this stage of the season is a real bonus to us.”
Dodson has made four appearances for `Marine this season.
