Craig Edwards has been busy re-building his Cheshunt squad in an effort to move away from the relegation zone in the Bostik League North.
And it seems to be working, with Saturday`s win at Bury Town lifting them to within a couple of points of the safety-mark.
Edwards` latest recruits being Dujon Desagurante from Walton Casuals, Rokas Janilionis from Potters Bar Town, L`hereux Menga from Barking and
Ricky Sappleton from Heybridge Swifts.
Defender Desagurante joined Walton Casuals in the summer from Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League side Southall.
The 26-year-old numbers Hillingdon Borough, Kentish Town, Wembley, AFC Hayes and Harefield United amongst his other former clubs.
Lithuanian defender Janilionis arrives from league rivals and neighbours Potters Bar.
The 27-year-old has been in England since the summer of 2016 when he joined Billericay Town.
He has since had spells with Thurrock, Canvey Island and Bishop`s Stortford before joining the Scholars last year.
Prior to his move to these shores, he turned out for Tauras, FK Nevezis, REO LT Vilnius, MRU-TiuMenas and Dainava in his home country.
Angolan-born centre forward Menga joins from another Bostik North rival, Barking.
Having started his player career in the UK with Dagenham & Redbridge, the well-travelled Menga went on to have spells with Gainsborough Trinity, Shepshed Dynamo, Stockbridge Park Steels, Welling United, Worksop Town, East Thurrock United, Waltham Forest, Burnham Ramblers, Witham Town, VCD Athletic, Farnborough and Grays Athletic.
The most eye-catching of Edwards` new signings though is forward-cum-defender Ricky Sappleton from Heybridge Swifts.
Originally on the books at Queens Park Rangers, Sappleton moved to Leicester City in 2007 and although he made only one appearance for the Foxes` senior team, did gain experience with loan spells at Oxford United, AFC Telford United and Macclesfield Town before joining the latter on a permanent deal during the January 2010 transfer window.
He played a further eighteen times as a Silkman and then returned south to join Bishop`s Stortford in 2012 before having his first stint with Billericay Town a year later.
Sappleton originally joined the K’s in June 2016 – the highlight of his first being his late two-goal burst off the bench that rescued victory from the jaws of defeat at Lewes.
He went on to make twenty-three appearances for the K’s, scoring 9 times, before returning to Billericay and cementing his place back there at centre-back.
And the versatile 27-year-old Jamaican under-20 international performed expertly at the back for the Blues before returning to K`s in the summer.
He moved to Swifts in October.
