Having seen Josh Hine move in the opposite direction, midfielder Steve Jennings has joined Evo-Stik League Premier club Warrington Town on a month`s loan from Vanarama National League North side Warrington Town.
Thirty-three-year-old Jennings` career includes a wealth of experience in the Football League where he made 249 appearances, and the Scottish Premiership, making ninety-three appearances.
After several years at Everton’s youth academy, Jennings joined Tranmere Rovers` centre of excellence.
He went on to make 140 appearances for Tranmere in League One before becoming Jim Gannon’s first signing at Motherwell.
Jennings made ninety-three appearances for Motherwell as well as reaching the Scottish Cup Final. In his final season with The Steelmen he helped the club qualify for the Champions League before transferring to Coventry City, adding thirty-nine appearances to his tally in the Football League.
He then spent another season at Tranmere, before making a short-term move to Port Vale and returned to Tranmere for a third time during the 2014/15 season, where he made another eighty-seven appearances before signing for Port in the summer.
Jennings has made a dozen appearances for Southport this term and joins Warrington on loan until 2nd December.
