With Farsley Celtic handily placed in and around the play-off places in the Evo-Stik League Premier, the club has looked to strengthen the squad with the signing of 20-year-old defender Will Wells on loan from Vanarama National League neighbours Guiseley AFC until the end of the season.

The youngster came through the Guiseley academy, making his first-team debut for the Lions at the back end of the 2016/17 campaign against Boreham Wood.

After suffering a metatarsal injury sustained in a pre-season friendly against Leeds United, as part of his recovery, Wells had a loan spell at Evo-Stik League North side Ossett Albion at the backend of 2017.

Upon completing the loan signing, Celts boss Adam Lakeland told the club`s official Pitchero website: ā€œIā€™d like to welcome Will to Throstle Nest. We have him on-loan from Guiseley until the end of the season and he will give us additional defensive options. He can play anywhere across the back line as part of a three, four or five-man defence and he is a real presence on the pitch in both a defensive and attacking capacity.ā€
