Farsley Celtic joint boss Neil Parsley believes if they can replicate the way they played against Colne they can beat Ossett Town in the Evo-Stik Northern Division One North play-off final writes Tom Feaheny.

A 4-0 victory at Throstle Nest with goals from Aiden Savory, James Walshaw, Adam Clayton and Lewis Nightingale saw the side book their place in the home match on Saturday. Parsley was delighted with what he saw.

“I’m really pleased with the lads, it was a good performance, in a pressurized situation. That is all we could ask for before the start of the match.

“We have match winners in the side and it’s impressed me. We’ve scored so many but also kept a clean sheet.”

Celtic recently lost to Ossett Town that resulted in the side missing out on automatic promotion. Parsley says he knows how tough the game will be but is relishing the match.

“Ossett came here and did a job on us, they are an excellent side, they are well set-up. We hope to match their work ethic. I think we have the flair players that could be the difference but it is going to be a close game.”

“I think the players should enjoy the win they’ve had. It’s nine goals scored zero against in the last two matches. We’ll regroup, train on Thursday, a nice light session and then it’s onto Saturday.”
