Evo-Stik League South club Frickley Athletic have pulled off something of a coup by signing an international goalkeeper on loan.
SkyBet Championship side Bolton Wanderers` Jake Turner has joined Frickley until the end of the season.
Turner, who has been named amongst the substitutes on thirty separate occasions, has yet to make his senior debut for the Trotters and spent time on loan at Evo-Stik League Premier outfit Stalybridge Celtic earlier this season.
An England under-19 international, Turner will combine his stint at Westfield Lane with playing for Bolton`s under-23 side – a move Frickley boss Spencer Fearn believes will benefit all parties.
Speaking to the club`s official Pitchero website, Fearn said: “In Jake we have another outstanding goalkeeper and we are extremely thankful to Phil Parkinson at Bolton Wanderers for allowing the move to get Jake more first-team experience.
“It’s fantastic news for our club.”
Turner, who has attracted interest from the likes of Everton and Manchester United this campaign, is contracted to Bolton until the summer of 2019.
