Worksop Town Boss Ryan Hindley says he has seen many positives since taking on the role during their first two pre-season games writes Tom Feaheny.
A 1-1 draw away at Retford United was followed by a late 3-2 loss to a Sheffield Wednesday academy side.
Hindley told the club’s website he is pleased with what he has seen so far from his Toolstation Northern Counties East League side.
‘The boys have been excellent. ‘You can see how we’ve improved with the ball over just a few sessions, we looked a lot neater. That Sheffield Wednesday side we faced are very talented and well drilled. They may seem a young side but there’s a lot of experience in there. I say our shape and work rate was outstanding’.
Worksop next face a trip to Brighouse on Friday night. They then have a home game against Swallownest on the Saturday.
Hindley wants to ensure these games so all his players get valuable game time.
‘I want everybody to get 90 minutes, I want to really start seeing things from players now. I want the lads to kick on and use this as a yard stick for the work rate we have shown. To me I expect that level of application for any game and if we do that then we’ll do well’.
