Hoole Confirms His Backroom Team

Evo-Stik League Premier club Matlock Town have confirmed that coach Danny Cox, goalkeeping coach Adam Sollitt and physio Mark Mullins will all continue their roles under manager Dave Hoole and player/assistant-manager Shaun Harrad.

Cox worked with previous joint-managers Glenn Kirkwood and Craig Hopkins for four years, first with Heanor Town and then again at Mickleover Sports.

A former central defender, Cox had to give up the game following a knee injury and previously played for Heanor Town.

Sollitt known began his playing career in 1995 and had a career that took in teams like Barnsley, Gainsborough Trinty, Kettering Town, Northampton Town, Rushden & Diamonds, Scarborough, Morecambe and Worksop Town before joining the Gladiators in the 2009/10 season, making the number one shirt his own

In his three years and eighty-six appearances he became a fans` favourite before having to depart the club due to increased work commitments.

Sollitt’s role at the club will be continuing as goalkeeper coaching using his knowledge and experience to work with our goalkeepers.

Mullins is a club legend at the DCJ Group Insurance Arena who added his name to Gladiators folklore in his playing days and has gone on to establish his own successful business in the sports therapy field.
