Wrexham have confirmed that manager Dean Keates has left the Vanarama National League club to join his home-town team, SkyBet League One Walsall.
Wrexham have placed on record its appreciation to Dean Keates for his time with them as a player, captain and as manager.
Walsall approached and triggered the release clause in Keates’ contract in full, therefore the club were obliged to allow him the opportunity to speak to the club that he supports.
Wrexham`s focus remains on achieving promotion to the Football League this season.
There are just nine games of the season to go and now more than ever, with interim management team of Andy Davies and Carl Darlington placed in charge for the remainder of the campaign.
