Kwayie Taking Time Out

Tashi-Jay Kwayie will not be seen at Bostik League Premier club Tonbridge Angels – at least for a while.

After much careful thought, he has taken the decision to prioritise his work commitments which would mean he would be unable to meet the footballing schedule in full.

Rather than create uncertainty regarding his availability Kwayie he is taking a temporary break from the game but hopes at some stage that it will be possible to return to the Angels.

Kwayie told the club`s official Pitchero website: “I feel like if I sign, I will miss a lot of matches. So right now, in my position, I`d rather prioritise my work. I’d rather sign when I’m 100% ready to commit to football instead of messing the club about early in the season.”

Angels manager Steve McKimm said: “We had offered Tashi improved terms and a contract, but he has given all of this a lot of thought and we completely respect his decision”.
