The Northern Premier League play-off finals take place this Saturday at 3pm. In build up to what is sure to be three cracking ties, a few of the Pitchero Non-League team sat down to preview the games.

Join me, Dom and our resident NPL expert Tom Feaheny for a special Pitchero Non-League podcast that analyses each Divisional final.

NPL Premier Play-off Final – Spennymoor Town Vs Stroubridge

An intruiging match up between two even sides, Spennymoor and Stroubridge have battled out two draws during the league season, leaving us wondering if the final might also play out in stalemate.

Of course, there must be a winner on the day, and it may come down to how well Stourbridge, a team with only one clean sheet in ten, can keep out a Spennymoor team that have scored in all but five games this season. Watch out for Stourbridge’s Luke Benbow – his 32 goals have shot him to the top of the division’s top scorers. Can he fire when it really matters?

NPL Division 1 North Play-off Final – Farsley Celtic Vs Ossett Town

Arguably the most intruiging final, Farsley Celtic are looking to close out their initial season objective and secure a place back in the Premier Division. Unlucky not to miss out on automatic promotion, Farsley will be looking to add to their 100 league goals against an Ossett Town team that is full of confidence.

Seemingly the success story of the season, a win for underdogs Ossett would cap a fine 12 months for manager Grant Black, who has turned the team from relegation candidates to promotion hopefuls.

Alongside the audio preview, take a look at our video preview below, featuring interviews from both sides.

NPL Division 1 South Play-off Final – Witton Albion Vs Spalding United

On paper, you might consider the South final to be a sure thing for Witton Albion. Unlucky to not secure top spot, they pushed Shaw Lane all the way for the automatica promotion slot. Finishing 17 points ahead of opponents Spalding United, they took four points from the two encounters during the league season.

But this is a one-off game, and Spalding can take heart from spirited display in their semi-final win over an in-form Stocksbridge. Having gone to extra-time, will Spalding’s legs last for final push?
