Managerial Change For Lockmen

West Midlands (Regional) League Division One club Willenhall Town have announced that manager Mark Cox has left the Lockmen.

Cox took over and helped Willenhall following a rocky start to the season and supported them to become more stable in the process.

Chairman Simon Hall said: “We have now appointed a new manager and at this stage in the season have had to work fast to maximise the short amount of time left in the season.

“Ryan Mason, one of our current players, joined us from WMPL Premier Division side Wednesfield, who were kind enough to let us use his playing services, and he now takes the lead for the remainder of the season.

“Ryan has run a youth set-up for several years in addition to his player role and now takes the next step and leads our fledgling team forward into the last dozen matches of the season.

“We are delighted to welcome Ryan to the club in his new role and look forward to working with him to avoid relegation and move the team forward positively. We are in for interesting times which is always the Willenhall way!

“We would like to thank our friends at Wednesfield FC for their support which is greatly appreciated”.
