Neighbourly Gesture By Bantams

Vanarama National League North club Bradford Park Avenue have secured the services of young midfielder Dan Pybus from SkyBet League One neighbours Bradford City on an initial one-month loan.

Pybus originally joined the Bantams on a short-term deal in March but was then awarded a further year’s contract at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.

The attack-minded former Sunderland midfielder left the Stadium of Light at the end of the 2017 January transfer window.

He had formerly been a part of the Black Cats’ under-23s side last season after an eye-catching campaign for their under-18s the year before.

Playing predominately as a central or attacking midfielder, Pybus netted an impressive 15 goals in twenty-three games for Sunderland’s youth team in the 2015/16 campaign.

He was an unused sub in three of Sunderland’s four matches in their Checkatrade Trophy campaign last season.

Pybus, who has also been capped at under-16 level for England, will be no stranger to the Horsfall Stadium or Bradford Park Avenue, having played in the Tom Banks Memorial pre-season friendly at the start of the current season.

He will be available to go straight in to the team for the Salford City game tomorrow.
