Evo-Stik League North club Skelmersdale United have brought in Ryan Botell from Scottish Highland League side Turriff United, Tunde Owolabi from league rivals Prescot Cables and Billy Whittle from Vanarama National League North neighbours Southport.
Botell was previously with FC United of Manchester before the Warrington-born midfielder earned a dream opportunity to earn a living from the game ‘across the pond’ on a scholarship at the Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Mississippi.
While there, Botell combine university studies with playing for the Pearl River Wildcats.
When returning to these shores, he joined Turriff before returning `home` to the north-west.
Owolabi joins from Prescot Cables, for whom he signed for after leaving Glossop North End at the end of last year.
He left Cables originally after receiving an approach from Stalybridge Celtic.
Whittle signed first-team forms back in 2016 having made the step up from the Southport under-21 set-up.
