Evo-Stik League Premier club Ashton United have re-signed forward Mike Norton and defender Saul Henderson.
Norton is a well-known character in the Tameside area, having previously played for Ashton, Hyde United and Curzon Ashton.
The striker helped Ashton and Curzon reach the Second Round of the FA Cup, having claimed the winning goals against Exeter City and Rochdale.
Norton almost netted 100 times during a five-year stay with FC United of Manchester.
The now 36-year-old has more recently been on the books at Evo-Stik North outfit Glossop North End.
Standing well over six feet tall, Henderson is a well-travelled defender who is also back for a second spell at Hurst Cross.
He played at Mossley AFC, Curzon Ashton and Maine Road before making the move in the latter part of the 2013/14 NPL season to Stafford Rangers where he scored a number of goals for the Marston Road outfit as they unsuccessfully battled relegation from the Premier Division.
Henderson`s other clubs include Northwich Flixton Villa, Northwich Victoria, New Mills, Droylsden and Sheffield FC.
Both featured in Ashton`s win over Sutton Coldfield Town on Saturday.
