Chris Nunn has announced he is stepping down as manager of Evo-Stik League South Premier club Biggleswade Town after the final game of the season tomorrow at Langford Road against Dorchester Town.

Nunn took over the Waders helm in 2006 and has guided the club from the Spartan South Midlands League up to the Southern Premier.

Nunn revealed his decision to leave on his Twitter account: “It’s been an honour and privilege to manage Biggleswade Town but after 12 seasons it’s time for me to say goodbye.

“I’ve loved it and gained many friends along the way. My aim has always been to try and make the dressing room a relaxed place to be, put a smile on players faces.

“The chairman has been incredible, Maurice has become a friend and someone I hope will continue as a friend, to the committee members along the way ‘thank you’.

“To the players that have put on a green shirt thank you and I hope you enjoyed your time.

“To my management teams over the years thank you and your support has been nothing short of ‘special’.

“To the GREEN ARMY well there are no words that can describe what I feel for you guys, you had my back at all times and for that I am eternally grateful

“The future is in safe hands guys so there is no need to panic will see you all soon.”
