Bostik League Premier club Brightlingsea Regent have signed midfielder Harry Morgan on a one-year deal.
Morgan becomes the second signing for Regent ahead of the 2018.19 season, arriving from Bostik North neighbours Heybridge Swifts where he also had loan spells whilst with Heybridge at Maldon & Tiptree and Waltham Forest.
Morgan began his senior career with Chelmsford City and, having come through the the Clarets academy, went on to become a first-team player in the Vanarama National League South.
Regent manager Tom Rothery told the club`s Pitchero website: “Harry is a ball-playing central midfielder and will fit nicely into our ethos at the club.
“He’s a very humble, grounded lad and at 21 fits the type of player again like Harvey Hodd that I believe Pip Boyland and I can develop and really bring the best out of at Brightlingsea.
“Harry has good experience from playing seventy-odd games at Chelmsford in the league above and I think he wants to settle at a club now. I feel that’s important for his development that he now really beds in at Regent and with that I believe that will enable us to get the best out of him.
“One of the main areas of improvement for us as a team is to retain the ball better, I felt we did this as the season progressed, but Harry is another important signing in helping us do that even better. He’s another technically gifted player who will certainly help us move the ball through the thirds and play the brand of football that we are looking to play”.
