Evo-Stik League North club Brighouse Town have lost one of their goalkeepers as Mirfield-based Harry Stead has joined his former boss Paul Quinn at Evo-Stik League Premier side Shaw Lane AFC.

Stead, who came through the development ranks at Brighouse, said farewell and he will be missed.

Brighouse boss Vill Powell also confirmed that wide player Callum Robinson had left the club.

“Callum has left the club this week due to re-locating to Nottingham so it does create a shortage in that position,” Powell told the club`s Pitchero website. “Youngster Finn Donovan, who has just mopped up the February player of the month at AFC Emley, could be an option but there is also the prospect of experienced Adam Jones returning for tomorrow, so we will look at that one nearer to the weekend.”

Meanwhile, midfielder Iwan Heeley has been ruled out for potentially the rest of the season.

Powell said: “We have also lost midfielder Iwan Heeley for possibly the rest of the season with a broken right foot following his injury at Clitheroe. X-rays on Tuesday confirmed his injury when I was just hoping it was bruising. It`s another massive blow loosing Tom Haigh at such a crucial point in the season to suspension on the totting up procedure – he has ten – meaning we will look at options available to us. He now misses tomorrow and the away game at Colne the following week”.
