Bostik League Premier club Kingstonian have announced the signing of vastly experienced central defender Jay Gasson.
Thirty-three-year-old Gasson joins from league rivals Metropolitan Police and made fifty-five appearances and chipped in with 8 goals.
He joined the Met from Vanarama National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough last summer.
Gasson left Basingstoke Town in June 2016 after spending six seasons there, having joined them from Havant & Waterlooville in 2010.
Previously he also turned out for Farnborough, Corinthian-Casuals, Whyteleafe and Croydon Athletic.
K’s manager Leigh Dynan told the club`s Pitchero website: “I’m delighted to sign Jay, he’s hugely experienced, knows what it takes to win the league as he won it with Hampton and has spent the majority of his career in the Conference South with clubs like Havant & Waterlooville and Basingstoke Town.
“Jay is a leader and above all a winner; he’s really bought in to what we are doing as a club and I’m really pleased to have him on board.”
Gasson added: “After talking to Leigh, I can tell that everything is in the right place to have a go at the title. The professionalism and the set-up sounds second to none and now with the club closer to home, we can build an atmosphere to carry the team through and put the club back on the map.
“I’m looking forward very much to playing next season what I feel is a wide open league and Kingstonian are the first-team I can see that seem to have the squad ready to go for it.”
