Truro City go into the Easter weekend with a spring in their step following a four-game winning run in the Vanarama National League South that has seen St. Albans City, Chelmsford City, Havant & Waterlooville and Eastbourne Borough all beaten.
It gets underway today as the White Tigers play host to Hemel Hempstead Town.
The visitors sit just one place and two points behind them in the table. They have won six of their seventeen away league games so far this season.
Truro managed to secure a good 2-1 away win against them at the start of the season and another victory today will see the White Tigers pull further away from them.
Bank Holiday Monday sees Truro head to Weston-super-Mare.
They find themselves stuck in the middle of the table and the fact that they have won nine and lost seven of their eighteen home league games shows just how up and down their campaign has been.
Truro also beat them 2-1 in the reverse fixture as we locked horns at Treyew Road on August Bank Holiday Monday.
“We go into the Easter games full of confidence and belief,” manager Lee Hodges told the club`s official Pitchero website. “We’re not getting too carried away, though, because there is a lot of football still to be played.
“That said, our hard work is paying dividends and if we continue doing the right things and working as a team, it will stand us in good stead.
“We’ll face two tough tests in these forthcoming games. Hemel Hempstead are up there with us and it’s a big game for both clubs.
“We’re going to need everyone ready and able to step in to do a job. There’s good competition within the group. We’ve been able to add Tom Owen-Evans on loan from Newport County recently and his energy has lifted everyone.
“It was pleasing to see him open his scoring account for the club in the last game.
“It’s a good situation to be in with everyone desperate to be involved and stay in the team and hopefully it will serve us well over these next two games as we look to extend our unbeaten run and further cement our place within the play-off zone”.
