Margate have announced that defender Tom Wynter has become the third player this week to commit his future to Hartsdown Park signing a new deal for the 2018/19 Bostik League Premier campaign.
The 27-year-old joined Margate a year ago after leaving Vanarama National League South side Dartford.
He was originally with Gillingham, for whom he made a handful of League appearances and also had loan spells with Ramsgate and Dover Athletic, who he joined on a permanent basis in August 2010.
Wynter enjoyed a successful first season with The Gate, becoming a firm favourite amongst fans courtesy of his reliable displays across the Margate back line.
Wynter told the club`s official website: “I’m pleased to sign on for next season, I’ve enjoyed my time at Margate so far and knowing the likes of James Rogers and Liam Friend have signed on board too, I’m confident we can have a really good season and push the club forward.
“I think we’ve got solid foundations to build upon and people saw the signs of the potential we have as team, so next season we’ll look to become stronger”.
